Established in 2021, Vengeance and Glory Productions is a film production and videography company based in South Central Pennsylvania. Founded by Co-owners Matthew Strausbaugh and Collins Wilson, V & G Productions seeks to breathe fresh air into the realm of indie cinema and entertainment. We are a small company with a story first philosophy when it comes to film. Our first film is titled Black Pine and was released in June 2021. As of the time of this writing, our release medium is primarily Youtube and free view for all. Our future goals include submitting to film festivals, streaming platforms, and limited theatrical releases.
Aside from film, V & G Productions also does videography work specializing in event videography. Our clients primarily consist of small local theater productions. If interested in hiring us to film your event, please see our Videography page.
What is with that name, Vengeance and Glory? And what is with the pirate ship logo? Vengeance and Glory was a shelved series set in the early 18th century Caribbean at the end of the Golden Age of Piracy. Unfortunately, not all projects come to see the light of day, and the project was canned in October of 2017. However, there was a silver lining. This was the project that Matt and Collins met on and became good friends. A few years passed and the two decided the time was right to start their own film production company. But what to call it? How about Vengeance and Glory? Not to harp on a failed project, but to honor the bonds of friendship forged though what can be the stormy tides and tribulations of the creative process. And as Matt said, “Why waste a good name?”

Matthew Strausbaugh
COFOUNDER
Matt was born and raised in South Central Pennsylvania. He has a Bachelor of the Arts in History. His love of film started at a young age while watching films with his dad when his mom was working weekends. His father introduced him to such classics as Indiana Jones, Clint Eastwood’s various spaghetti westerns (his favorite being The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly), and of course his most beloved franchise of all Star Wars. However, once in high school that love of film started transitioning from watching to making. He started out by making Star Wars Fan films and stop motion superhero shorts with his younger brother. He then went off on his own and made his own fan films. After college he managed to start branching off into live performance videography. In 2016, he met his good friend Collins Wilson, while working on another project. In 2019, they started work on their first film together called Black Pine. In 2021, upon Black Pines completion, they decided to form Vengeance and Glory Productions.
For V&G Productions, Matt has many roles. He is primarily a producer, cinematographer, writer, and post production editor, as well as many other titles as the needs arise. In the near future he will be making his directorial debut for V&G and looks forward to sharing the project with you. His other hobbies include studying history, gaming, Star Wars anything, tinkering with his computer, and hanging out with his dog Jasper.

Collins Wilson
COFOUNDER
Collins was born and raised in the city of Harrisburg. Starting at a young age with making fake movie posters to making VHS home movies, he always harbored a great love for film. Some of his greatest influences were the films of Martin Scorcese, Sergio Leone, The Coen Brothers, Akira Kurosawa, and Sam Mendes. This love of film grew into a love for art overall. Becoming a voracious reader and aspiring writer, Collins graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Degree in English Literature and General Studies. From there he became involved in local theater. Over the last almost ten years, he has gained many acting and directing credits on the stage particularly in Shakespeare.
This love of performing and telling stories led him back to film. Discovering a friendship and creative partnership with Matt led to the creation of Vengeance & Glory. Black Pine was their first film and Collins’s first screenplay that he has ever written. He is excited to continue telling stories and creating films. If he ever finds them, maybe those fake movie posters that he made a long time ago can finally become a reality.
